Rosemary Farfalle Pasta

After the long Chinese New Year break,
I'm used to eating at people's house and ran out of ideas what to cook at home.

End of long holiday and life will be back to normal once again.
I will miss those days of gathering...

Although I have lots of ingredients in my fridge, I had no idea what to cook for lunch.
I wanted to cook something simple and fast yet yummy!
So here it is...
Farfalle is also known as bow-tie pasta..
And it's actually an Italian word which means butterflies.
I guess they look pretty much like butterflies..that's why?

I stir fried the cooked Farfalle with some salmon and broccoli...
just mix in fresh rosemary, oregano, black pepper and salt.
Done!
The texture is the same as those random pasta, just that they have cute appearance...

A close up of the Farfalle Pasta...
I think kids will love them!

Homemade Pasta

I've always wanted to make my own fresh pasta..
into heart shapes!
i did not use the rolling pin,
so the dough was not pressed till thin.
should have done that, it's too thick!

After cooking the pasta, it's still chewy when it's hot/warm.
But when it cooled down, it became hard..
Quite disappointed...
I stir fried the pasta with frozen mixed vegetables and salmon...

Love those hearts...
I will try again!
when I succeed, will share the recipe =)

Vegetarian Pasta With Homemade Sauce

I used the leftover homemade pizza sauce as pasta sauce...You can find the recipe HERE
The meal is done in less than 30minutes..

the ingredients were leftovers too..
Olives, Capsicums, Mushroom mix...
Just cook pasta as directed on package, but I did not add any salt or oil as stated.
Heat pasta sauce, add in all ingredients and let it simmer till ingredients are cooked.
Top pasta with sauce and sprinkle with black pepper. Serve!
As easy as that  =)

Pick up the fork and spoon and lets tuck in!

Alphabet Pasta

Don't we all just love these Alphabet Pasta!?
My mum used to cook these for us when we were young,
actually.... when we were sick...
She will normally cook and serve with ikan bilis soup then top with fishballs.
My man loves eating these pasta too and requested for it~

As my mother's daughter, somehow, I did it the same way as her.
Alphabet pasta in soya bean + ikan bilis soup!
with Batang, Steamed Broccoli, Shredded Carrot and Soya Bean from the soup.

Our brunch for this public holiday...
Happiness...

No seasoning/oil was added...
everything was plain.
Sweet on its own!

Life is happiest at its simplest.... isn't it so true?
