Weight Loss Updates : Seeing & Feeling Progress

This was my dinner for yesterday...
Short grain brown rice porridge with Batang fish, xiao bai cai and egg drop.
Notice if you buy those porridge sold in stalls,
there are no vegetable served. I cannot live without vegetable for a day.
I will feel really uneasy, so when I eat out, there must be vegetables which comes with the food.

Mummy is my supplier for fish!
She will help me buy lots and I will cook it slowly.
I bought the whole batang 2 weeks ago,
and there's still more than half left...
I like to substitute all other meats with fish to have a healthier diet...

For now, I'm feeling good! =)
No more headaches or lightheadedness...!
& weight is dropping...!
Happy!

Their doughs were sent for 1st rising...

they were supposed to write their own names on the pan...

but in the end..their idols' names were written!

HAHA..that's what teenagers love to do nowadays...

time to test whether the dough is ready...
Poking their dough with a finger.....

Dough is ready!
Punching time!
to make the buns, we need to weigh 60g for each small dough...

They were excited to use the digital weighing machine...

pinching to seal the tuna in the dough....

Ready to make the hotdog spiral buns!

They were really serious in making their own buns beautiful...

Lets look at their works...
Tuna buns....

these are made by the 3 older girls...

& the 2 younger ones made these...

After baking...

Nice golden buns!
I find that their hotdog spiral buns look like toys!
pretty right?

Packing the cornflakes cuppies!

They love all the decorations that I've bought....

Lunch : Yogurt with Blueberries, Kiwi & Cornflakes (weight loss)

I really need lots of determination for reducing my weight!
I tend to start on the journey for like 1 - 2 weeks, then forget all about it...and started to eat crazily!

Few weeks ago, my weight really went up a lot and I looked and felt so bloated..
I had frequent headaches..was very lethargic most of the time...
I was even lightheaded after meals...I guess it's the blood pressure and sugar warning me that I'm crossing the safe line....

So I stopped all the junk food about 2 weeks ago.
Now..I've lost 3kg+...
I need to go on and remember about this mission!
when I've reached my ideal weight, I can start to make future plans to expand our family =)
I just need to be healthy...this can avoid any complications during pregnancy...
I'll give myself another half a year~
starting from now!

My breakfasts are always pretty simple,
maybe a slice of bread or a fruit.

As for lunch, I will have some carbohydrates, protein and fiber...

Today's lunch is this...
Yogurt with kiwis, blueberries and cornflakes!
cornflakes gives a crunch, so i can munch on them...

Nowadays, I don't feel hungry easily anymore...
If not I will always crave for food...sinful food like KFC..fried chicken wing..french fries..
All the fried stuffs...
I will still take fried stuffs occasionally..I was just too extreme previously...

So what ingredients did I use in this?
A low fat yogurt,
a handful of blueberries,
1 kiwi,
about 2 Tbsp of cornflakes.
I was suspicious about the yogurt's sugar content.
how weird it is that amount of sugar was not mentioned.
It was on offer, so I grabbed it.
I will normally get greek yogurt with no stabilizers or gelatine..and with less sugar content...
I feel so sleepy now...must be the high sugar content... =(

Anyway please wish me luck for my weight loss journey!!!!

Results of First Baking Workshop for Kids!

When I was waiting for the kids to arrive...

The ingredients for making bread!

lets take a look at these little aspiring bakers!
D is only in primary 1...  =)

Look at his smiley face!!
I really think that he's super cute!!
Hope that my future son will be like him..hehehehe

K was very excited to make the bread dough~
she's in Primary 5 this year...

this is D's sister..S  =) she was telling me that the dough's so sticky!
Only in Primary 2~!

Chop chop chop!! =)

Parents will surely be happy to eat the bread made by their own kids and kneaded with love...
So now..it's proven that kids can handle all these with minimal help!
They were not tired or bored at all after about 20 minutes of kneading!

While the dough was proofing, we started to make marshmallow brownies!
I taught them how to crack the eggs....

I even let them sieve the flour by themselves...
they did a great job!

they were really interested in it....paying 101% attention! HAHA!

mixing the brownie's batter...

Freshly baked marshmallow brownies from the oven!
Can you believe that the kids made these?

And they decorated the box with stickers...
the ribbon was tied by me =)

Next up...Honey Cornflake Cuppies!
I wanted them to have 2 individual bakes and 1 with teamwork involved...
see how united they are..
they actually finished filling up the cuppies in a very short time...

After baking...
Smells niceeeeeee.....

Teacher..can I eat this??

Nom nom nom nom....

Get ready to fill the bread dough with fillings!
We had tuna mayo and hotdog!

Look at the hotdog bun..so nicely shaped...
It was a pretty cool weather and our dough took a much longer time to rise...
so they stayed here for about 5 1/2 hours!
Although there were some hiccups during the session,
all the kids really enjoyed every moment..

Now..lets look at the happy and proud little bakers!

With the teacher =)

One of my student's mum said that the bread is nicer than store bought ones..
HAHA..i think it's because the bread is made by her child...so she felt the love in it!

It's a very good exercise to conduct this class...
there will be another class tomorrow!
Wish me lots of luck =)
