Lunch : Yogurt with Blueberries, Kiwi & Cornflakes (weight loss)

I really need lots of determination for reducing my weight!
I tend to start on the journey for like 1 - 2 weeks, then forget all about it...and started to eat crazily!

Few weeks ago, my weight really went up a lot and I looked and felt so bloated..
I had frequent headaches..was very lethargic most of the time...
I was even lightheaded after meals...I guess it's the blood pressure and sugar warning me that I'm crossing the safe line....

So I stopped all the junk food about 2 weeks ago.
Now..I've lost 3kg+...
I need to go on and remember about this mission!
when I've reached my ideal weight, I can start to make future plans to expand our family =)
I just need to be healthy...this can avoid any complications during pregnancy...
I'll give myself another half a year~
starting from now!

My breakfasts are always pretty simple,
maybe a slice of bread or a fruit.

As for lunch, I will have some carbohydrates, protein and fiber...

Today's lunch is this...
Yogurt with kiwis, blueberries and cornflakes!
cornflakes gives a crunch, so i can munch on them...


Nowadays, I don't feel hungry easily anymore...
If not I will always crave for food...sinful food like KFC..fried chicken wing..french fries..
All the fried stuffs...
I will still take fried stuffs occasionally..I was just too extreme previously...


So what ingredients did I use in this?
A low fat yogurt,
a handful of blueberries,
1 kiwi,
about 2 Tbsp of cornflakes.
I was suspicious about the yogurt's sugar content.
how weird it is that amount of sugar was not mentioned.
It was on offer, so I grabbed it.
I will normally get greek yogurt with no stabilizers or gelatine..and with less sugar content...
I feel so sleepy now...must be the high sugar content... =(

Weight Loss Update : 2kg in a Week

1 week passed so quickly...
now I've increased my exercising time from 25 to 30 minutes.
I don't feel that tired anymore.
And no more huff and puffs after crossing a overhead bridge! HAHA!
My blood pressure has gone down a little too,
keep my fingers crossed.


I did not control my diet that strictly this time round,
For some dinners, I had pizzas, hokkien mee and roast chicken!
I think it's the exercising part which helped more. 
I realised that if I only eat healthy, without exercising,
my metabolism rate will still be low! So my weight's always stuck.
Now that I've triggered it, things are getting easier.


My way of exercising is very simple,
just jog on the spot while watching tv!
I may look a bit dumb doing that, but it really works!
And I don't need to get out of my house at all...
So..no excuse for rain or anything else!


I've lost 2kg in a week..
hope that this will continue!
Previously, I've lost 15kg by eating right and exercising.
and wasted all my efforts by putting on 11kg back!

Now..here I am to continue this journey...
to achieve a better health for myself!!

The Kanten Diet (The Natural Way)



This is Kanten 寒天
My uncle introduced this to me, 2 weeks ago. 
It's a kind of Japanese Agar Agar Powder made from 100% seaweed extract.

How to use it?
there's 4 sachet in a box, 
dissolve one sachet in half mug of VERY HOT BOILING WATER.
It must thicken in order to work.

Drink it before your meal. 
It's meant to trick your body into believing that you are feeling full,
hence you will actually take in less food.

Since 2 weeks ago till now, I'm only on my 4th sachet.
Not very hardworking on this plan, 
only drink it before some day's dinner.
But i feel that my appetite has became smaller.

Another thing to take note of when you take this is,
you have to drink lots of water! At least 8 glasses a day.
& according to my uncle, it will block out some of the food's nutrients,
so not advisable to take for a long period. 

I searched online, and a website stated that some people got choked by this too.
As it's very thick~
So take extra care if you want to try.

It helped diabetic people to regulate their blood sugar by taking in less food.
And people who are obese benefits from it too.
Although weight loss result is slower than all those crash diets,
I feel healthier, as I still get to eat the things that I want to,
just in a smaller portion and there will be less cravings for food~

Weight Loss Journey

So sad to share the news that I've stopped using the meal plan with effect from now.
After eating the papaya+milk, I don't feel well, discussed with my man and we decided to stop..
I'm having grumbling stomach & diarrhea now...
so I will wanna advise all those going on diet, if you feel something not right,
just stop there. Do not go beyond your means.

i would like to thank my friend for sharing the plan with me,
and we've definitely benefited a lot from the past few days!
Learned to appreciate food a lot more, all foods are God sent! =)

I regret that I won't be able to continue with this, but the journey does not ends here.

we will still eat healthy food and control our diet + weight,and not let our 4kg weight loss go to waste!

OK..looking at the bright side, yummy food will be coming right up on my blog!

Weight Loss Journey (Day 4)

Time flies, it's already Day 4. 
First 2 days were actually quite terrible, as the quantity is much lesser than what we used to eat daily.
But results are amazing, we weighed at the end of Day 3 and...
both of us lost 4kilos each!
Isn't that amazing? And we really look much smaller in size~

Some people may think that it's unhealthy to lose weight that fast, but for us, it's just do it or continue to eat unhealthily. We are aware of our own health condition, anything amidst, we will stop immediately.
People who had succeeded in this meal plan actually said that their appetites became small! 

For me, I feel much lighter now and there's less burden on my body while walking. I sweat lesser, because I don't feel warm that easily now. The most important thing is my blood sugar has reached a healthy stage. No more high blood sugar due to overeating!


So what's for lunch and dinner for today?

Lunch time...
There's steamed carrot, 1 slice of cheese, 1 hard boiled egg and 1 apple


I shredded the carrot and topped it with cheese,
I dislike eating carrots plain, so this is the best way for me!


Dinner for 2...


One bowl of papaya with skimmed milk..
I can't even finish eating the papaya! just a few pieces and I'm full..


I'm craving for some piping hot soup right now, really love to eat hot stuffs. 
Will try to cook healthy soup daily when this is over. 
Good for weight maintenance too!



Some stuffs to take note of
  • If you want to start on this meal plan, please make sure that you are totally healthy to do so.
  • People with chronic diseases especially diabetes shouldn't be doing this, it may cause low blood sugar which leads to coma. People with gastric, please do not risk too.
  • And you can only carry out this meal plan once a year.
  • If you feel unwell, please stop this diet immediately.
  • This menu is not catered for acceptable or slightly overweight people, you may be left with just bones at the end of the program.

Weight Loss Journey (Day 1)


I need to lose some weight for my wedding and photoshoot+overall health!

Last year, I've tried blood type eating + low calorie eating..
my hard work paid off and lost 15kg over 3 months. 
But after returning to my normal lifestyle, which is overeating, I've put back10kg!
Scary isn't it? 
I regret that I've wasted my effort, and did not do maintenance well. 

So I've decided with my man, if we can't discipline ourselves,
then let the diet plan discipline us!
And just nice, my indonesian friend told me about this Mayo Clinic Diet. Sent me the plan to follow. 
So here we are starting on this 14 days journey.


Here's the meal plan for Day 1...


Breakfast
 A cup of tea with 1 teaspoon of sugar
This is fine for me, as my normal breakfasts are only fruits.


Lunch
2 hard boiled eggs, 7 cherry tomatoes & a bunch of steamed spinach
I dread eating tomatoes, but cherry ones are still OK...
the plan actually requested for 1 whole tomato, but I know that I won't be able to take it!
That's why I altered it~



Dinner
Salad with lemon juice topped with 1.5 ounces of pan fried chicken without oil

That's all for the day..!
Some of you may be thinking that it's crazy...
But hey, I feel that it's much healthier than our normal everyday diet!
KFC, Pizzas, Oily food e.t.c please decide which is a better choice?

I'm glad that we've  survived!
Ermm..just for Day 1...
If we missed any food, or did not follow closely,
we will need to restart @ day 1 !

Anyway, there are variations in food everyday.
I will update when I can =)
